Fusion is a particularly apt name for this fantastic single malt whisky from Amrut. It’s made with barley grown in India, where the Amrut Distillery can be found, as well as peated barley from Scotland! Makes sense, right? Not just a clever name, it’s also a cracking whisky, offering up generous helpings of fresh fruit, honey, spice and a good whiff of smoke.

Tasting Notes
Golden amber in colour; pungent aromas of smoke, peat, and iodine; the palate is smoky with adjunct iodine character and subtle mineral undertones.

Amrut Fusion gets its name from the fact that it uses two barleys: Indian and Scottish – with the latter being peated for good measure. Fusion has been picking up awards ever since it first appeared in 2009, and in 2012 was named the best whisky for a Rob Roy in the Ultimate Cocktail Challenge in New York.
