Pineau Des Charentes is a traditional aperitif of the Charente region of France, famous for Cognac production. Unfermented grape must is combined with new make Cognac eau-de vie until between 16 and 22% abv. It is then aged in barrels for about 2 years before being bottled.

The red Pineau from Chateau Beaulon is fresh, frank, and supple, with notes of black cherry in alcohol, blackcurrant, red rose, and a perfect harmony of fruity strength and mellowness. Pair with Melons, foie gras, chilled with red grapes, rabbit Saintonge-style. Chocolate, cherry, raspberry and strawberry desserts.
