The whiskey pays homage to the Sazerac Coffee House in New Orleans, where the iconic Sazerac cocktail was born. Thomas H. Handy, owner of Peychauds Bitters, acquired the establishment and sold bottles of the famous cocktail, initially crafted with Cognac. Today, this esteemed libation is crafted at the Buffalo Trace distillery.
