North Mississippi’s first distillery, Wonderbird Spirits is an eight-minute drive south of Oxford on Old Taylor Road. Opened in Spring 2019, Wonderbird is the brainchild of friends and co-owners Chand Harlow, Rob Forster, and Thomas Alexander. They ferment Mississippi Delta rice to make the base spirit. This approach, which borrows from traditional sake making, sets a beautifully clean foundation for layering subtly complex flavors and aromas.

This extremely limited edition is the first-ever issuance ofWonderbird Spirits’ Experimental Gin Series. Using the same Mississippi Delta rice base spirit astheir award-winning flagship gin, No. 97 features the delicate essence of locally harvested Southern Magnolia petals (Magnolia Grandiflora).

A 2021 San Francisco World Spirits competition gold-medal winner, was inspired by the enchanting aroma of midsummer Mississippi Magnolia.The beautiful floral essence is highlighted and delicately balanced with cinchona bark, juniper, coriander, and black peppercorn. A truly wonderful martini gin.
