As Prohibition loomed, government forces, emboldened by the temperance movement’s growing influence, seized over $40 million worth of bourbon from then-Master Blender C.M. Dedman. This event, coupled with the devastating impact of Prohibition, led to Kentucky Owl’s decline into obscurity. Nearly a century later, Dedman’s great-great-grandson, Master Blender Dixon Dedman, revived the brand, drawing inspiration from these long-lost barrels for his latest release.
