A wine with excellent color, just barely shifting to an orangish tinge with age, but still very much garnet at its core. Aromas are classic and as expected (recalling tart dark cherries, roses, licorice and some earthiness), but wonderfully pronounced. Clean, balanced, smooth, elegant and assertive on the palate. With 20+ years age this wine is drinking beautifully now, but due to the it’s excellent structure and natural acidity it will continue to age well for another decade (or more!)… if you can wait that long to crack into it.
