This whisky is matured in re-charred red wine casks, oloroso sherry butts, and bourbon barrels. After maturation, a few drops of water are added to achieve a batch strength of 57% abv. The result is a monumental dram that marries Kilchoman’s natural peat smoke and citrus character with notes of dark fruits, rich spices, and salted caramel sweetness.
