The second release of Angostura’s Cask Collection No.1 is a 16-year-old rum from Trinidad which was allowed to age for 10 years in American oak casks before being transferred over to once-used French oak casks that previously held Cognac for the final 6 years. Clearly interesting cask finishes aren’t just reserved for whisky.

Tasting Notes
Citrus is dialed down here, but it remains fruity with fig and raisin. Still quite nutty, though.
