The Old Fashioned is the perfect vehicle for this experimentation, showcasing the bitters simply and beautifully. Our most cherished versionis the “GingerThomas”, a 60/40 blend of Bitter Truth JerryThomasand Bittercube Jamaican #1. The classic aromatic flavors ofraisin, cinnamon, lemon, orange, clove, and allspice are accented with the more modern addition ofgingerand black pepper, and the absence of anise offers a distinct differentiation vs Angostura and Peychauds.

David Nicholson 1843 Bourbon makes a great base, with its cocktail perfect proof of 50% ABV, and its soft wheated nature letting the spice of the bitters shine. It all comes together for a perfect blend of classic taste and modern sensibilities.
