Drawn from the Paradis cellars at the Chteau de Montifaud, this Cognac was the first to personally be distilled Louis Vallet (4th generation), which today stands as a proud family treasure and trophy of the longstanding legacy each of the family’s generations beholds. After aging in a combination of red oak and ancient Cognac barrels, this bottle is now a blend of cognacs ranging from 30 to 80 years old, which is then averaged out as 50 years, allowing them to continue to produce this special celebration of their art year after year.
Nose: Old cigar boxes appear immediately, followed by nuts and spices. Very round and mellow with good rancio.
Palate: The palate keeps the oak light, bringing forth an almond sweetness. The finish is exceptionally long.
