Winner of a 2016 World Beer Cup Award, The 33 Acres of Euphoria is a Belgian Trippel that is bottle conditioned and sold in 750ml bottles. Coming in at 9.2% alcohol this is a big and intense beer, dont tell the food and inspection agency though as the beer is mislabeled as being a strong beer as opposed to Extra Strong Beer. This beer pours from the (not easily opened) corked bottle a colour of hazy gold topped with one finger of head that settles without a trace. The aroma is sweet with a moderate Belgian yeast character along side notes of coriander, wheat, orange peel and a mellow booziness. Tasting the beer, low carbonation meets a creamy mouthfeel and sweetness. The sweetness masks the boozy character from the nose and subdues the coriander spice and orange peel notes. While perhaps a touch under carbonated this is a well crafted, traditional style Belgian Tripel.
