A fantastic new label from a great vintage on Nelson’s famous Moutere clay soils. Established in the rolling hills of Nelson’s Upper Moutere in 2015, the Abel Tasman label is a boutique family operation owned by Sophie Healy and Mark McGill. Both partners grew up in the wine industry, with Mark’s family vineyard based in the Wairarapa. Sophie’s parents grew for Cloudy Bay before establishing the legendary Dog Point label, and are now the leading organic growers in Marlborough.

This is a deliciously succulent and elegant wine that offers fantastic value for its price. Think fruit-forward, yet fresh, with apple, oral, peach, lemon and even graphite notes.
