Angostura 5 Year is a mix of light and heavier rums from their 5 column still set up. The rums in this blend are aged between 5 and 8 years.The nose is soft and sweet with buttery vanilla and soft florals. The rumoffers a nicely aged taste profile,no burn but it still delivers a bit of a kickwith notes of vanilla ice cream and some slightly spicy dark chocolate. The finish is remarkably warm and mellow, and pairs well with stronger mixes,spices and herbs.
