Three Wood has been a cornerstone of Auchentoshan’s offerings since its introduction in 2002. This expression undergoes a unique maturation process, initially aged in bourbon barrels before being finished in oloroso and Pedro Ximnez casks. On the nose, it reveals enticing aromas of orange peel, dried apricots, milk chocolate, and freshly sawn oak. The palate is rich and complex, offering notes of toffee, stewed fruits, sherry, cinnamon, and wood spice. The finish is remarkably long, with lingering flavors of malt, oak, and dark chocolate, leaving a satisfying and memorable impression on the palate.
