Since 1694, Benanti is synonymous with quality and represents a profound respect for Etna and the wine in produces. Grapes grown on the slope from north to southwest are at altitudes of 450-1050 meters above sea level. Benanti is the only winery that has vineyards located on every slope of the DOC Etna. This area on the eastern slope is particularly unique in that it is the only area that qualifies for the rare “Etna Superiore” label. The wine is light, yet well balanced with peach, white flowers and saline notes with a touch of nuttiness. A round mouth feel with lemon and lanolin notes. Drink now or can be cellared for an additional 10 years. This wine is exclusive to CLS and not available anywhere else in Western Canada.
