Csar Marquez Perez is a rising star among the new generation of Spanish winemakers, focusing on small-scale vinifications of old-vine menca and godello from small plots known as parajes. Although this wine is mostly Mencia, it features a small percentage of Alicante Bouschet, and an even tinier amount of a field blend of red and white grapes. All grapes are organically grown. Medium-bodied, this delivers plenty of red and black fruit, along with touches of spice and the savory herbal undertones menca is prized for.
