Moldovan wine doesn’t have the same recognition as some of its other neighbours that make wine in Europe, but vines have been growing here for thousands of years, as far back as 3000BC. Saperavi is a versatile grape, vinified both sweet and dry. There s a well balanced flavour here with a mix of oak, sour cherry and black current that has sweetness, but balanced by high acidity.
