Grignolino is a rare grape variety hailing from Monferatto in Piemonte. Lighter than nebbiolo and more tannic, it is a love it or hate it wine, but very unique and worth trying a a glass! Fermented and aged in stainless steel, its light garnet red in the glass, with perfumed aromas of wild strawberry, cranberry, maraschino cherry, raspberries, rose petals, white pepper, and a hint of leather. Don’t let the light colour fool you: it is high in tannins, yet high acidity and mouthwateringly fresh.
