A beautiful Palo Cortado sherry from Gonzalez Byass. Produced from Amontillado sherry, this ages for 12 years before bottling to give a lightly sweet and nutty wine. Excellent drunk chilled as either an aperitif or as an accompaniment to food.

Nose displays cake-like sweetness. Almonds, hints of ginger, toffee and apricot. More citrusy on the second visit, with notes of orange zest. Lots of cherries on the palate, with vanilla, wood, and almond. While it starts off a touchsweet, quickly becomes smooth bone dry. Medium finish is dry with lastingcherry notes.
