For decades the Fronti family has specialized in vineyard development and management for famous Tuscan wineries. The family also owned small vineyard plots in the Chianti Classico area, primarily producing bulk wine. It wasnt until Angela Fronti graduated from Enology school and convinced her father and uncle that they needed their own label that Istine was born. Their first wine was the 2009 Chianti Classico, and since then their wine has been widely praised.

For their first vermouth, they worked in collaboration with legendary Piedmont vermouth producer Bordiga. Istine puts their rosato of Sangiovese in the hands of the beloved vermouth-ers, who infuse it with a combination of 34 botanicals, includingwormword, elderberry, sage, quinquina, gentian, mint and juniper. Bottled at 18% abv.
