These cherries are from the coastal region of Croatia known as Zadar where it is reputed to attain it’s finest flavor. The namemarascacomes from the Italian wordamarasca, fromamaro, which stems from the Latin wordamrus(meaning ‘bitter’). The cherries have a slightly bitter taste which makes it ideal for fine cherry liqueur and cocktail cherries.

This product contains 50% candied cherries and 50% Marasca sour cherry syrup with no artificial coloring.
