Martell XO has a spicy, rich crescendo starting with the mellow elegance of the Borderies, followed by the intensity and finesse typical of Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie. The nose consists of ground spice (black pepper, coriander) and red berries. Rich fruit flavours: fig chutney and compote, almonds and walnuts along with beeswax and sandalwood.

Right from palate entry the fruit concentration is perfectly balanced by a resiny, cheesy oakiness that blossoms at midpalate along with succulent tastes of raisins, vanilla and butterscotch.
