The original Negroni hails from Florence, in the heart of Tuscany, perhaps Italy’s most famous wine region. This spin on that beloved cocktail finds its home in our own most famous of wine regions, Napa Valley. Lighter, more herbal, and in fact more wine forward than the classic, this Negroni riff pairs Lo-Fi’s uncolored and complex Sweet Vermouth with their lovely Gentian Amaro, a wine based aperitif with notes of hibiscus, ginger, and grapefruit.Tying those together is Bixby Gin, made with botanicals from the Big Sur area, notably elderflower and sage. Altogether, one of the more delightful and refreshing Negronis we can recall.
