A market improvement on the previous vintage, this affordable Chard from the warm, inland Riverina region of New South Wales takes a little time to find its way out of the glass, but when it does knit together it offers notes of lemon zest, florals, oatmeal and toast. Acidity on the palate feels a touch forced, but overall there’s lovely texture, bright fruit and a refreshing lack of heavy barrel work. Christina Pickard
