Distilled from a four grain mash bill featuring corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley, Barrel #001-53-2015 was aged for 9 years and a half years in a full-size 53 gallon charred oak barrel before bottling without chill filtration at 116 proof. The nose opens with sweet cinnamon sugar and apple turnover scents with caramel, vanilla, and earthy oak lingering. The sip opens with flavors of cinnamon toast, caramel, and vanilla bean which are joined by hot cocoa and toasted oak on the midpalate. The finish features sweet cinnamon and oak with baking spices and caramel supporting.
