From a 4.5 ha vineyard in the Merricks district of the Mornington Peninsula, this Chardonnay is produced using old-school Burgundian winemaking techniques and minimal intervention.
An elegant, beautifully balanced wine, walking a tightrope between vanilla richness and rocky freshness. Not too fruity, but restrained, more in the vein of some of the great Chardonnays of France. Delicately mineral, with pose and purity – lots of chalk and lemon peel here. Wonderful, composed drinking.
