The Terra d’Oro Amador Barbera is lush and inviting, showcasing notes of Bing cherry, plum, violets, pomegranate, earth, dried oregano, vanilla and clove aromas that graze the nose. Flavors of herbs, fresh berries and a round mid-palate of fresh cherry lead to a clean finish of refined tannins. Overall, the extended maceration resulted in a beautiful backbone of earthiness and structure. The Terra d’Oro Barbera is an extremely versatile wine, and the acid is the perfect complement for dark meats and game.
