Union Horse distillery is a true craft distillery in Lenexa, Kansas, a suburb of Kansas City. Their reunion rye is made from 100% rye, and is aged for over 5 years in locally sourced oak from Southwest Missouri, 24 month air dried and outdoor seasoned. On the nose, there are assertive notes of dill, toffee, vanilla, orange creamsicle, pepper, and citrus oils. The palate follows with stone fruits, blueberry muffin, leather, dill, butterscotch, and finishes with oak and anise.
